Get Rid of Annoying Notifications and block ads on Mac OS X
Besides annoying ads from all over the Internet, you may see no less annoying notifications from the apps that are installed and built into the Mac OS. You may disable these notifications in a few steps either from the specific apps or from all apps by just turning on the Do Not Disturb mode.
Turn off notifications from the apps:
- Go to System Preferences > Notifications.
- Choose the app from the list and select the None alert style to stop the notifications.
Now notifications won’t appear on the screen. If you don’t want to see the notifications in the Notification Center, just drag the notification down to the Not In Notification Center area.
Turn off all notifications by using the Do Not Disturb mode:
If you choose the Do Not Disturb mode, your notifications won’t appear on the screen and you won’t hear any sounds. Moreover, here you can choose the preferred time for activating the Do Not Disturb mode:
- Go to the System Preferences > Notifications.
- At the top of the list, click Do Not Disturb.
